Monterey Bay Climate Adaptation Action Network
Overview
The Monterey Bay Climate Adaptation Action Network (MBCAAN) is a regional coalition dedicated to helping communities, ecosystems, and local economies prepare for the impacts of climate change. As a network of organizations, agencies, and partners working across the Monterey Bay region, their mission is rooted in collaboration, resilience, and long-term environmental stewardship.
Why This Project Mattered So Much To Me
Some projects stay with you long after they're launched. This was one of them.
As someone who deeply cares about the environment and the future of our communities, I was honored to help an organization whose work extends far beyond a single program or initiative. MBCAAN is bringing together diverse partners to tackle one of the most important challenges of our time: helping people and places adapt to a changing climate.
The Challenge
MBCAAN's work spans multiple initiatives, resources, and partner organizations. The challenge was creating a website that could communicate complex information clearly while making it easy for visitors to understand the network's mission, explore resources, and get involved.
The Solution
I designed a website that balances education with accessibility, organizing content around the needs of different audiences while highlighting the collaborative work happening throughout the Monterey Bay region. The goal was to create a digital experience that felt approachable, informative, and reflective of the organization's commitment to collective action.
